Bio

Dorothy "Carrie" Etta Vail was the daughter of James Monroe Vail and Sarah Viola Lewter. She married Jack Asken, son of Edward C. Aston and Nancy Caroline Hunt, on Feb. 1, 1906 in Bienville Parish, LA. Their children: Carriel Monroe, Gladys Mae, William Clinton, Marlon Lawson, Pearlie (Kirkham), Verneas (Perry, Heflin, Modisette) and Cloteal Asken (Hanna). Plaque on fence says: "In Memory of Jack Asken (1879-1966) and Carrie Vail Asken (1886-1966)."
