Bio

Jaynie Arnold, 68, of Ennis, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 17, 2013. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, January 21, 2013, in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A Celebration of her life will take place at 10 a.m., Tuesday, January 22, 2013, in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Rev. Jerry Fulton officiating. Interment will follow in Myrtle Cemetery. Jaynie was born in Sacul, Texas, to the late Leonard Leon and Tiny Eugina (Murchison) Duckett. Her family moved to Bardwell in 1946 and she attended school in Bardwell and Ennis. Jaynie graduated from Ennis High School in 1963. She met Wallace Allen Arnold, of Ennis, Texas, on a blind date in 1960 and they were married in 1961. Jaynie and Wallace were devoted to each other as best friends and companions and were married for 49 years. Jaynie had many talents and skills and was able to express and utilize those attributes when employed at We Sew, W.R. Storey Manufacturing, Lomas & Nettleton, Henry S. Miller, and TriState Trucking Driving School. Her achievements include being a past co-sponsor of the "Joy Group" at Anthony Drive Baptist Church. At the time of her death she was a devoted, faithful member and deacon's wife of Anthony Drive Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband; brother, Leon Duckett; and sisters, Mary Featherston and Tina Patak. She is survived by her son, Wallace "Buddy" Arnold and his wife, Loretta, of Ennis; daughter, Monica Pelzel and her husband, Tommy, of Palmer; grandchildren, Nathan Pelzel, Alison Pelzel, Jared Arnold and Jesica Arnold; and brother-in-law, George Patak, of Palmer.
