Anton Resident's Rites Wednesday ANTON (Special) -- Services for Mrs. J. T. Couch, 84, Anton, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Lawrence Street Church of Christ here. Mrs. Couch, a resident of Anton since 1926, died at 2:10 p.m. Monday in West Texas Hospital, Lubbock. Officiating will be Joe R. Barnett, minister of the Cactus Church of Christ, Levelland, assisted by Bill Talley, Plainview. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Burial will be in Anton Cemetery under direction of Rix Funeral Home, Lubbock. A member of the church of Christ, Mrs. Couch moved here from Healdton, Okla. Survivors include four sons, Arthur, Olton; Hobert, Littlefield; Claude and Lester, both of Anton; three daughters, Mrs. L. E. Craft, Anton; Mrs. J. D. Allen, Smyer; and Mrs. Ralph Davis, Lubbock; 25 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter. (from the Lubbock [Texas] Avalanche-Journal, November 26, 1963)
