Bio
Deanna "Marie" Grimshaw Thompson Perkins passed away January 12, 2013 at Beaver Valley Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 30, 1942 in Joseph, Utah, to Earl and Delma Vaun, Ross, Grimshaw. She was married to Richard Glen Thompson and divorced and later in life married Joseph E. Perkins. Marie graduated from Beaver High School in 1960 and was a Song Leader for Beaver High. She was a very talented pianist and was often called upon to play the piano or organ at various school and church activities. Marie went on to Cosmetology School and earned her certification. She was a member of the LDS Church and served in many positions. She spoke fondly of her experiences as a primary teacher but excelled as the ward's pianist and organist. She took out her own endowments in the St George Temple in April of 2000. Marie enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing, reading and camping but most of all spending time with her family and friends. Due to an unexpected illness, the last 16 years of her life were spent at the Beaver Valley Hospital Long Term Care facility. She bonded with so many wonderful people and many became her second family. Marie is survived by five daughter's; Melanie (Al) Shotwell of Houston, TX; Michelle (Mark) Fuller of Vernal, UT; Robin (Todd) McMullin of Minersville, UT; Stacy Thomas of Tooele, UT; Valerie (Jeremy) Heywood of Tooele, UT , 13 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and 1 brother, Conrad (JoAnn) Grimshaw of Beaver, UT. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Vaun Grimshaw and brother Earl "Neil" Grimshaw. Funeral services will be held Saturday January 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Beaver LDS 3rd & 4th ward chapel located at 220 North main in Beaver, UT. A viewing will be held on Saturday January 19, 2013 from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. at the Church. Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery in Beaver, UT
