Bio
Lucille Ann Gary passed away Monday, Dec. 24, 2012. She was born April 26, 1925, in Nada to Method Hoffman Sr. and Mary Stavinoha Hoffman. She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Lee Gary; three brothers; and two sisters. Lucille is survived by four daughters, Carolyn (Don) Hopmann, Delia (Patrick) McGrath, Donna (Martin) Key and Nancy (Brett) Bolting; granddaughters, Laura Hopmann Fuller, Theresa Key Loveall and Paige Bolting; grandsons, Charles Hopmann, Steve Hopmann, Randy Key and Brandon Key; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Edith Pope; a and brother, Method Hoffman Jr. (Mary). Lucille was a devoted wife of 66 years and a loving mother and homemaker. She was an avid golfer in retirement. She was a gifted seamstress and artist and was a former member of the Port Lavaca Art Guild. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW, Post 4403. Visitation was held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 28, at Richardson Colonial Funeral Home. A Rosary will be held at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 29, at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church. Interment will be at the Port Lavaca cemetery. The family requests that donations be made to Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic School or to the Port Lavaca Cemetery Association, P. O. Box 287, Port Lavaca, TX, 77979.
