EL CAMPO - Hattie Buxkemper, 91, of El Campo, died January 5, 2013. She was born September 15, 1921 to Charles and Albina Hromadka Adamcik. Hattie was married to Albert L. Buxkemper for 53 years. She was active in various organizations, enjoyed cooking and gardening , and playing dominoes. She is survived by her daughters Patricia Kemmitt and husband Bill of Mt. Dora, Fla., Janet Buxkemper of Houston, Carol Sommer and her husband Calvin of Sugar Land; son Alan Buxkemper and wife Jennifer Dillon Buxkemper of Stuttgart, Germany; sister Alice Korenek of Houston; 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Hattie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister and 4 brothers. A rosary will be recited at 10 am on Friday, January 11, 2013 with the funeral mass at 10:30 am at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in El Campo. Interment will be held at 2:45 pm in at St. Cyril and Methodius Cemetery in Dubina. Published by the Victoria Advocate, Jauary 9, 2013.
