Rural School Principal Dies Here Last Night George Lee Hamor, 58, principal of Newton County's Eastview School, died suddenly last night after suffering an apparent heart attack at his home, 208 White Ave. Mr. Hamor had been released earlier in the day from Cardwell Memorial Hospital, Stella, where he had been a patient since Friday. He was pronounced dead on arrival at Sale Memorial Hospital here. He had been ill for five weeks. Mr. Hamor had been principal at Eastview for a year and for two years prior to moving here he taught in the elementary grades at the Pleasant Valley School, Jasper County. He was born Feb. 16, 1905 in Farmersville, Texas. He was a member of the Floydade, Texas, Masonic Lodge and the Northside Baptist Church here. Survivors include his wife, Emma, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Dixie Trisler, Arlington, Texas, and Mrs. Janet Burks, Lubbock, Texas; two sisters. Mrs. Fannie Belle Duckworth, Clayton, N. M., and Mrs. Jessie Johnson, Farmersville; and six grandchildren. The body will lie in state at Clark's Funeral Home from 5 p.m. today until noon tomorrow, after which it will be sent to Farmersville for funeral services and burial.
