Bio

Millie Mach Dulak was born on the family farm in Axtell, Texas on April 23, 1919, to Frank and Mary Mach, the eighth of twelve children. She died peacefully on January 3, 2013 at the age of 93. Millie was the valedictorian of her 1936 high school class. On August 6, 1941 she married Raymond R. Dulak in Waco, Texas.As a member of the greatest generation, she worked in an airplane factory to support the war effort. After the war, the couple settled permanently in Corpus Christi. She was a founding member of Christ the King Catholic Church where she was a member of the altar society. She also was active in St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles and St. Thomas the Apostle parishes. Having grown up on a farm, Millie was an avid gardener. She also loved to hunt, fish, sew, quilt, crochet, and drink coffee. Millie is preceded in death by her parents, husband; oldest son, Raymond Dulak, Jr.; and ten of her siblings. Her survivors include her son, John Dulak and his wife, Ethel; two daughters, Catherine Dulak and her husband, Apu Bhattacharya, and Carolyn Dulak, and her husband, David Lawhon; four grandchildren, Joshua Dulak, Megan Dulak-Gordon, Alex Lawhon, and Sarah Lawhon; three great grandchildren, Brenna, Conner, and Piper Gordon; one sister, Lillie Steele; and numerous nieces and nephews. Interment to take place at Seaside Memorial Park.
