Marian West Jense Fugal 1921 - 2013 Marian West Jense Fugal, 91, of Pleasant Grove, Utah, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2013. She was born November 11, 1921 in Salt Lake City to Irving David and Laura Rebecca Whimpey West, the eighth of nine children. She married Keith Adamson Jense on October 6, 1940 in Farmington, UT. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Keith passed away in 1967. She married Bryan C. Fugal on August 25, 1972 in Pleasant Grove. Bryan passed away in 1984. Marian graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 1940. She supported her family, working at Christensen s Department Store in Pleasant Grove, then retired after 30 years. Marian enjoyed traveling and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved western music, especially George Strait. She was an avid sports fan and supported BYU where all five of her children graduated. Marian never missed a Utah Jazz game, made many quilts for her grandchildren, was a talented seamstress, loved her rose garden and enjoyed reading. She is survived by her five children: Arlene Jense, Pleasant Grove; Virginia (Gaylon) Pugh, Lindon; Grant K. (Della Mae) Jense, Pleasant Grove; Dee W. (Jean) Jense, Pleasant Grove and Harley W. (Kathie) Jense, Highland; 19 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren and eight step-children and numerous step-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a daughter-in-law Norma (Harley) Jense. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 7, 2013 at 12:00 noon in the Timpanogos First Ward Chapel, 315 East 500 North, Pleasant Grove where family and friends may attend a viewing from 10-11:45 am prior to services. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery under the direction of Olpin Family Mortuary, Pleasant Grove. —The Daily Herald | Provo, Utah | 6 Jan 2013
