Cynthia (Johnson) Cavender Cynthia (Johnson) Cavender, age 58, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, in Lake Orion, Mich. She was a resident of Palmer for several years prior to her family moving to Michigan. A loving, giving person, she was always active in her church, neighborhood, community, and especially in the Michigan swim club in which both of her children were team members. Heaven has gained another angel. Survivors include her husband Fred, daughter Ellen, son LIVING, father Rudy Johnson, Sr. of Jackson, Miss., mother and stepfather Marlene and Sonny Bartosh of Corsicana, sister LIVING, brother LIVING, stepsister LIVING, stepbrothers LIVING, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Graveside services will be held at 12 noon Thursday, Jan. 19, at Resthaven Memorial Park. Following the service a Memorial Dinner will be served for all family members and friends at 1 p.m. at The American Legion Post, 632 North Beaton Street.
