husband of 1st) Francis May Chaffin; father of Mickey Joe Mason; Sherry Kay Mason; 2nd) Martha Ellen Phillips Mason; father of Michael Edward Mason; Brenda Gail Mason (the kids of Martha were adopted by Billy Joe Mason) Mr. Billy Joe Mason, age 73 of McKinney, Texas passed away February 14, 2004 in McKinney, TX. He was born December 23, 1930 in Farmersville, TX to George Alfred and Myrtle (Teel) Mason. Billy married Martha Ellen Phillips on September 28, 1962 in McKinney, TX. He was 3 times Past Master of Celina Masonic Lodge #919. Mr. Mason is survived by his wife, Martha Mason of McKinney, TX; children, Michael E. Mason of Quinlan, TX, Brenda Roberts of Aubrey and husband Walter Roberts; two grandchildren, Tommy Medders (wife Sheryl) and Steven Roberts; great grandson, Blake Medders; sister, Joyce Clark of Carrollton, TX; four brothers, Alfred T. E. Mason of Anna, TX, Allen R. Mason of Quinlan, TX, C. B. Mason of Garland, TX, Donnie Mason of Farmersville, TX; several nieces, nephews, and host of friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jack T. Mason; and sister, Willa Dean Dorman. Funeral services will be at Cottage Hill Methodist Church on Tuesday, February 17, 2004 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Mike Varrassi officiating. Interment will follow at Cottage Hill Cemetery in Celina, Texas. The Masonic Lodge #919 of Celina will be pallbearers. Visitation will be Monday, February 16, 2004 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Celina.
