Bio
Charles Donald Dunn, of Allen, Texas, passed away December 19, 2012 at the age of 85. He was born March 9, 1927, in McKinney, Texas, to Carl and Leta (Moreland) Dunn. On September 10, 1948, Charles married Margie Simmons in McKinney. He grew up in Altoga, Texas where he was a member of Altoga Baptist Church; he was also a member of Casa View Baptist Church. Charles proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He retired from Tubesales Company, and was a Mason for 50 years. He is survived by his wife, Margie Dunn of Allen, Texas; son, Charles Kennedy Dunn and wife Robin of Quinlan, Texas; daughters, Donna Massey and husband Wayne of McKinney, Texas, Jeannie Williams and husband Larry of Garland, Texas; grandchildren, Brian Dudley, Ashley Dudley, Christian Williams, Jenna Freeman and Charles Christopher Dunn; eight great-grandchildren; and brother, Von Roy Dunn of Richardson. Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Leta Dunn. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, December 22, 2012, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Altoga Cemetery, in Altoga, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday evening at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
