Frances Alexia "Frannie" Nitsch-Evans (sic - she only went with the last name Evans), 80, died Friday morning, December 7th, 2012 at Grand Juction, CO. Memorial service will be Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012 at the Callahan Edfast Mort. 2515 Patterson RD Grand Junction, Co 81505. Burial will take place at a future date. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America or the donor's choice. Frannie A. Cynova was born April 2nd, 1932 at Loup City, Sherman County, NE to Alex & Clara (Grudzinski) Cynova. She grew up in Columbus, NE and received her education there. In 1955 she married William Nitsch. They had one son, John William. Mr. Nitsch died in 1963. She then married John Faust. Two children were born to this union, Joseph James, who died as an infant & Steven William who died at age five. She and Mr. Faust moved to Colorado prior to Steven's birth. She and Mr. Faust divorced. She later married Dave Evans, who survives her. Frannie enjoyed painting, and had even won some awards for some of her paintings. Frannie is survived by her husband Dave, a son, John Nitsch, two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one brother; Ralph Cynova, of Grand Island, NE and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, six brothers: one infant, Andrew, Bruno, David, Daniel & Leon Cynova, and two sisters; Rosie Frost and Cecilia Selzer.
