Birthplace provided by Jason Cadek (#47017020). 1885 census (Skull Creek Township, Butler County, Nebr.): Frank Sitl (54, farmer, Moravia), Frances (wife, 54, keeps house, Bohemia), Maria (daughter, 16, Moravia), Ciryl (son, 13, Moravia), Stazia (daughter, 12, Moravia), Frances (daughter, 10). 1900 census (Skull Creek Township, Butler County, Nebr.): Frank Sajtl (March 1833, Bohemia, farmer, emigrated 1880), Fanny (wife, March 1833, Bohemia, married 45 years, mother of 8 children, 5 living, immigrated 1880), Cyril (son, July 1872, Bohemia, immigrated 1880), Anna Pelan (servant, May 1891, Nebr., at school). His oldest daughter Antonia Sajtl married Matthew aka Michael Pelan . She died between May 9, 1891 (birth of youngest child) and March 4, 1893 (when her husband married his second wife in Box Butte County, Nebr.). Sijtel, an old resident of this locality, died Monday morning, Jan. 13, at his home four miles south of town. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Frank Polacek of Bruno and Mrs. Frank Capoun of Brainard, and a son, Cyril. All were present at the funeral services which were by Rev. Father Zalud. Interment was in the Catholic cemetery. Mr. Sijtel was 81 years of age. The sympathy of the community is extended to the bereaved.
