His oldest daughter Antonia Sajtl married Matthew aka Michael Pelan . She died between May 9, 1891 (birth of youngest child) and March 4, 1893 (when her husband married his second wife in Box Butte County, Nebr.). Sijtel, an old resident of this locality, died Monday morning, Jan. 13, at his home four miles south of town. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Frank Polacek of Bruno and Mrs. Frank Capoun of Brainard, and a son, Cyril. All were present at the funeral services which were by Rev. Father Zalud. Interment was in the Catholic cemetery. Mr. Sijtel was 81 years of age. The sympathy of the community is extended to the bereaved.
