Bio
Anton Jetter (101896198) : Anton Joseph Jetter was born on December 4, 1908 in Lott, Falls County, Texas. His parents were Karl (Charlie) Jetter from Laufen an der Eyach in Baden-Württemberg, Germany and Josephine Hoelscher from Ellinger, Fayette County, Texas. He attended parochial school in Lott until the 7th grade. He married Lorene Anne Schlottman on Nov 15, 1934 in Falls County and they had six children together. Anton loved farming, carpentry and whittling, playing 42 and straight dominoes, listening to polka and country-western music, reading the Sunday newspaper and watching the Dallas Cowboys during football season. He worked as a farmer and in a lumberyard, but also ushered and did the bookkeeping at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Rosebud, Falls County, Texas and was a member of the school board at Travis Elementary/Middle School. Anton died from bone cancer on June 6, 1990 in Rosebud and was buried at Woodland Cemetery in Rosebud. Services were held at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Rosebud. He was preceded in death by his daughter Mary Anne in 1940 and his granddaughter Stephanie Kim Polasek in 1966. He was survived by his wife of over 55 years, as well as five children, sixteen grandchildren, and two great-grandsons. Information provided by FAG member # 49667157
