Bio
Birth date & place and death date provided by Jason Cadek (#47017020). Emigrated to the United States in 1890. The passenger list for the ship Columbia , which left Hamburg, Germany on July 3, 1890 and arrived in New York City on July 11, 1890 includes the following family (all from Popovice, Bohemia): Franz Nabity, age 35 years, farmer; his wife Maria, 29; daughter Anna, 5; son Jan, 3; father Josef, 68, farmer; and mother Maria, 68. According to the 1900 census she was born January 1823 in Bohemia, emigrated to the United States in 1890, and lived in Richardson township, Butler County, Nebr. with her husband Joseph and her son and daughter-in-law John and Fannie Nabity and their children. Interment was made in the Catholic cemetery east of town. Mrs. Nabity lived here a number of years ago. She was about 91 years of age.
