Thelma Lee Peters, 69, of Haworth, passed away December 5, 2012 in Texarkana, Texas. She was born August 3, 1943 in the Honey Grove Community, the daughter of Andrew and Maudie (Sis) Mathews Dollarhite. Thelma had lived in McCurtain County all of her life. She was a 1961 graduate of Idabel High School and was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church of Haworth. She worked as a CPA Secretary and enjoyed cooking, shopping and spending time with her family. Thelma and Benny Peters were united in marriage on January 20, 1962 in Haworth and they shared 50 years together. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Maudie Dollarhite and by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ralph and Hazel Peters. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Benny Peters of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Teina Peters and Kirk and Gina Peters all of Idabel; brother and sister-in-law, Sid and Jackie Dollarhite of the Redland Community; sisters, Maureen Dollarhite of Little Rock, Arkansas and Paulette O'Neal of Madill, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Mandy Morgan, Cassidy Stevens, Tyler Peters, Taylor Peters and Caleb Radney and wife Valerie; great-grandchildren, Mason Radney, Zoe Radney, Brody Morgan and Paxton Garrett; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 8, 2012 from 4 to 6pm at the First Missionary Baptist Church of Haworth. Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 9, 2012 at 2pm at the First Missionary Baptist Church of Haworth with Pastor Jim Anderson officiating.
