Edward "Shorty" Chlebek, Sr., 60, of El Campo, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012. He was born August 28, 1951 in Schulenburg, to the late Eusties and Henrietta Genzer Chlebek. He was a fishing tool supervisor for Pioneer Fishing and Rental Oilfield Services. He is survived by his wife, Susan Martin Chlebek of El Campo; daughter, Leslie Gordon and husband, John of Hernando, MS, and grandson, Reed; sisters, Rose Brothers and husband, Gary of El Campo and Shirley Wootan and husband, Robert of Tomball; and brother, Henry Chlebek and wife, Susan of Brian. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, at Triska Funeral Home, with Kris Humble of First Christian Church officiating.
