Leon G. Orender, 59, Lincoln, died Monday (12/13/04). He was born on March 22, 1945, to Leo J. and Gertie B. Orender in Norfolk. He was a pharmacist for more than 30 years at Walgreens in Lincoln. Member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves. Former member of the Ag Men Fraternity and the University ofNebraska-Lincoln Marching Band. Past president of the Nebraska Pharmaceutical Association. He was an avid car enthusiast and was especially passionate about his Corvette and 1955 Chevy. Survivors: wife Dolores "Dell" (Cihal) Orender, Lincoln; son, Lee Orender, Lincoln; mother Gertie Orender, Albion; sisters, brothers-in-law, LaVonne and Bob Kruse, Albion, Joan and John Hill, Lincoln; mother-in-law, Mary Cihal, Seward; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, Mel and Kay Cihal, Dwight, Gary and Shirley Cihal, Dwight, Jeanne and Larry Riha, Lincoln; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; and cousins. Preceded in death by father Leo J. Orender and father-in-law Frank Cihal. Funeral Mass: 11 a.m. Saturday, St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 6126 Morrill Ave. The Rev. David Hintz. Fairview Cemetery.
