Passed away Monday, November 26, 2012 at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point. Rynold was born December 13, 1922 to Stephen and Mary (Kulhanek) Kalisek on a farm north of Howells. After school, Rynold served as a Staff Sgt. in the Army Air Corps from 1943-1945 in the European Theatre. On November 16, 1950, Rynold married Wilma Holoubek at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Howells. He was a Combination Telephone Repairman for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company for 35 years and also farmed. Rynold was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Howells American Legion Post 155, Howells Community Club, 40 & 8 Club, Telephone Pioneers, Howells Volunteer Fire Department and served on the Howells School Board. He enjoyed Polka dancing, fishing, and was a very creative inventor. Rynold is survived by his wife of 62 years, Wilma, Howells; four sons, Bruce (Joyce) Kalisek, Des Moines, IA, Rod Kalisek, Gretna, NE, Mike Kalisek, Houston, TX, Ken Kalisek, Lincoln, NE; brothers, Stanley, Howells and Robert, Fremont; sisters, Blanche Uher, Schuyler and Lydia (Mel) Peitzmeier, Fremont; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL 10:30am Friday, November 30 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Howells. VISITATION 5-7pm Thursday at the church with a Rosary at 7pm. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
