Bio
Dalton Eric Humphrey, age 89, a resident of Albuquerque, NM since 1960, passed away on Friday, November 23, 2012 at the Veterans Hospital, where he had been a resident for the previous nine weeks. Dalton "Don" was born on November 24, 1923 in Jasper, Texas to Basil Hill and Beulah Ivory Humphrey, who he loved dearly. Don married Stella Marie Gifford on February 12, 1944 in Southgate, CA, and they were soul mates for 63 years, when Marie was called home. Don and Marie established their own Real Estate Company for 23 years. They were faithful charter members of Sandia Presbyterian Church. Don is survived by his sister, Thyra Hicks of Texas, his faithful daughter, Sandra Lee Taylor, his faithful son, Ronald E. Humphrey and his wife, Pamela, his grandchildren, Phillip (Stacey) Humphrey, Shellie Rosen and Nichole Humphrey, great-grandchildren, Luke and Samuel Humphrey and Noah Rosen, all of Albuquerque, NM. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at French – Lomas, Albuquerque, NM. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Sandia Presbyterian Church, 10704 Paseo del Norte, NE, Albuquerque, NM. Interment will follow at Santa Fé National Cemetery, Santa Fé, NM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Wounded Warriors fund.
