Florence Alice Floyd was born in Arkansas City, Arkansas to Jasper Floyd and Elizabeth Vinson. On February 4, 1883 she was united in marriage to Benjamin H. Tidwell in Howard County, Arkansas. To this union 9 children were born Rosa Lee, Jasper Armstead, James Benjamin, Mose Anthony, Charlie Granvil, Robert Alcania, Nancy Bertha Elizabeth, Serenius Austin and Joseph Cornelius Tidwell. Benjamin and Florence farmed in Arkansas and Texas.
