------------------------- Woman Killed in Portales Crash PORTALES, June 16 (AP)— Mrs. W. C. Houk of Roswell was instantly killed near here late yesterday when the automobile she was driving apparently went out of control, left the highway and overturned. The accident occurred southwest of here between Elida and Kenna. Pvt. Robert Lee Moore, stationed at the Roswell Army air field, and son-in-law of Mrs. Houk, is in a critical condition in a local Hospital. Mrs. Moore, his wife, was only slightly injured and the other passenger, a four-year-old daughter of Mrs. Houk, suffered scratches.
