The Lufkin Daily News Norman Theophiles Birdwell Services for Norman Theophiles Birdwell, 76, of San Augustine, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel with Bro. Buddy Pratt officiating. Burial will follow in the Chinquapin Cemetery. Mr. Birdwell was born March 8, 1928, to Enlow Birdwell and Florence Hardy, and he died Sunday, November 14, 2004, in San Augustine. He was a retired U.S. Air Force major. Survivors include: sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce and Diane Birdwell, Barry and J.J. Birdwell and Brett Birdwell; daughters and son-in-law, Diane Birdwell and Linda and Rae Thomson; sisters and brothers-in-law, Bertha Mae McMurray, Ruby Murphy; Margie Nell and Edward Hildabrant and Blanche and Gail Neal; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kennon and Pauline Birdwell, Winfred and Vivian Birdwell and Carl O. and Helen Birdwell; and four grandchildren. Wyman Roberts Funeral Home, San Augustine, directors.
