Bio
Billy Ray Simpson, age 79, of Odessa, passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2012, at Lamun-Lusk-Sanchez TX State Veteran's Nursing Home in Big Spring. He was born in Tredway, TX on March 18, 1933 to the late Montgomery and Leona (Berry) Simpson. Mr. Simpson was employed by Southwestern Bell as a service technician and was a Korean War Veteran of the US Navy. He was saved and baptized at West Park Baptist Church in August of 1963. Those left to cherish his love and memory are his son: B. R. Simpson and his wife Gina Darol of Boyd, TX; step-son: Mickey Dean Glover of Odessa; step-daughter: Melody Lynn Macaloso of New Haven, Conn.; adopted daughter: Joann Wright of Odessa; sister: Fern Walker of Lubbock; brother: Clarence Simpson of Amarillo; and grandchildren: Rikki Lou Simpson and Clifton Dell Huie, both of Ft. Worth. Memorial services are scheduled for 10:00 am, Thursday, November 15, 2012, officiated by Brother Jess Little. Interment will be privately held at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park in Woodrow, TX, where he will be laid to rest with his mother.
