Bio
Lewis Gregory was born in the Bethel Community to Martin Paul Gregory and Mary Belle Crum Gregory. He was a life long resident of Anderson County and a member of the First Baptist Church in Neches. He was the owner of Gregory Welding Works since 1947. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Paul Gregory. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Mary Edgeworth Gregory of Palestine;, a son, Jeffery Gregory and wife Sandra of Haltom City; three daughters and son-in-laws, Gloria and Dan Yancey, Dianna and Pete Wallace of Houston, Vickey and Dennis Cummings of Palestine; a brother, J. L. Gregory and wife Joyce, sisters, Dorothy Corley of Farmers Branch, Barbara Riley and husband Harold and Sue Wilcox of Farmers Branch; six grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren. Services will be at Herrington/Land of Memory Chapel with Rev. Don Crum officiating; burial will follow in Neches Cemetery. Pall Bearers were grandsons, Bobby Wallace, Michael Yancey, Paul Gregory, Steven Gregory, Greg Cummings and Lance McNeel .
