Bio
Blanche M. Stanley passed peacefully on the morning of October 1, 2009. Her next destination is the glory of the Heavens and there she will be greeted by the love of her life, H. Dean Stanley; her son, Benjamin Duane Flippin; her sisters, Bobra Harris, Nancy Dorbandt, Fedelis Hampton, and Robert Van Dusen; as well as many friends and her beloved pets. She leaves behind her daughter, great-granddaughter, grandson, and two sisters. Blanche loved people and truly cared about them. She had the generosity and grace of a hundred women. Her zest for life was her passion and her greatest accomplishment. Blanche was many things to many people - daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, advisor, confidant, friend, and angel. Blanche possessed and always exercised the highest virtue, which is compassion for others. She extended charity far beyond what most of us ever normally experience in our lives. She did this for the people she met every day, her friends, her family, many children in need in this world, and even strangers. This incredible woman will be truly missed by everyone who held her dear. (Obit was published in The Dallas Morning News on Oct. 4, 2009)
