Funeral services for Terry Wayne "Gunner" Hinds were conducted Monday, May 19, 2003, in the chapel at Jacksonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home in Orange Park, Fla. Hinds died May 14, 2003, after battling lung cancer. He retired after 30 years of decorated service from the United States Navy as a CWO4. He was preceded in death by parents Charles L. Hinds and Anna Bell Hinds; and brother Charles L. Hinds Jr. Survivors include wife Mary Ann Hinds,; daughter Karrie Rene Hinds; son Scott Gary Hinds and wife Kristin; stepdaughter Julie Ann Johnson; stepson Frank Carlton Douglas Jr.; two brothers, Charles Fred Hinds and wife, Gena, and Phillip Hinds and wife Susie; sister-in-law Peggy Mercer; and six grandchildren.
