Mr. Roy Landon, 79 years old, of 2709 W. 7th, passed away at the Vets Hospital in Grand Island, Wednesday. Survived by wife Mary. Services will be Friday at 9:30 a.m. in our chapel with Chaplain Howard Franzen officiating. Burial in the Blue Valley Cemetery with military rites at the graveside. Memorials may be given to the Heart Fund. HDT 4 OCT. 1972 pg 19 Funeral services were Thursday for Roy E. Landon at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Howard Franzen officiated. Music was by Mrs. Marshall Krieger and Mrs. Jack Moore. Pallbearers were Gary Cassell, Phil Korgan, James Lukas, George Schueler, Milton Shinn and Harry Songster Jr. Burial was in Blue Valley cemetery, Ayr, with military rites at graveside. Color bearers were Carl Pheiffer, Wayne Reed, Henry Weber, Walter Golden, Fred Partridge, Donald Jarolimek and Lawrence Soweres. Color guards were Leo Fox, C.R. Bixby, Wayne J. DeBose and John Konzack. Firing squad members were J.L. Gaffin, Walter Fergus, L.R. Sanders, George Dericks, Dale Paschall and Jacob Hoff, John Scholtz and Lewis Goldenstein folded and presented the Flag. Taps was by Jackie Wieland. Henry W. Frisch was patriotic instructor.
