Jacob Brunson Cooper 80, a native of Rosinton, AL and resident of Spanish Fort, AL died Thursday, January 18, 2001 at his residence. Mr. Cooper was preceded in death by his daughter, Gloria Jean Cooper and his grandson, Michael Blaine Lorge. Survivors include his wife, Mary Bea (Aunt Bea) Cooper of Spanish Fort; one son, Arthur Cooper of Spanish Fort; two daughters, Mertie (Fred ) Lorge of Spanish Fort and Dorothy (Wallis) Griffis of Daphne; one sister, Lorine Redmond of Spanish Fort; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2001 at 2pm at the Christian Fellowship Tabernacle with interment to follow in the Holly Hills Cemetery. Mr. Cooper will lie in state at the church 1 hour prior to service. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6-9pm at the funeral home. Pallbearers we re: Gary Peterson, Tracy Cooper, Glen Cooper, Robin Black, Billy Schuler, Jerry Wilson, Berry Walling, Mitchell Cooper, Danny Lyles, Larry Cooper, Clyde Webster, Tom Wooten, Cliff Boggs, Jessie Brown, Percy Cooper.
