VIRGIE REESE Mrs. Virgie Reese, 70, of Telferner, died Friday at 5:25 a.m. in a local hospital following a long illness. She was born April 22, 1914, in Vernon Parish, La., to the late Frank and Polly Ann Wisby Bass. She had lived in Victoria County since 1954. She worked as an assistant administrator for Twin Pines Nursing Home until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Reese, on Dec. 13, 1983. Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Colonial Funeral Home with the Rev. James Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Surviving are two sons, George L. Reese of Victoria and Larry D. Reese of Refugio; four sisters, Mrs. Mae Perkins of De Ridder, La., Mrs. Versie Gearen and Mrs. Jewel Coward, both of De Quincy, La. and Mrs. Alice Corely of Florence, La.; three brothers, James R. Bass of Nederland, Lynn Bass of Cravens, La. and Vernon Bass of De Ridder, La.; and two grandchildren.
