Bio

Hope Terrell, 74, of Eddy, formerly of Lorena, died Sunday, Sept. 1, 2002, in Temple. Services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 5, at Bethany Baptist Church with the Rev. Eddie Johnson officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at 3 p.m., Thursday, at Star Cemetery in Canton, directed by the Moody Chapel of Cole Funeral Home, Moody. Visitation will be rom 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at Moody Chapel. Mrs. Terrell was born June 25, 1928, in Grand Saline, Texas, to the late John K. and Cora Bell (Daulin) King, where she attended school. Much of her life was spent as a homemaker; however, she cared for the young children and elderly through the Scott & White Hospice Program and was employed by Hilltop Grocery in Lorena. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. Survivors include sons, Jimmy Rucker, of Grand Saline, Billy Rucker, of Lindale, and David Rucker, of Leroy; daughters, Shirley Anderson, of Copperas Cove, Gail Kirby, of Hillsboro, and Lisa Lassetter; 18 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Fred King, of Canton; Katie George, of Dallas, and Clara Steen.
