Mertie Fay Rejcek. A devoted daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother, was born 6/17/25 in Wylie, Tx, and went to be with the Lord on 10/23/12. She was the youngest of 10 children born to John and Mertie Bradley. She retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and was a long-time member of Church of Our Saviour Episcopal and SPJST Lodge #84. She will be missed by many for her love, beautiful smile, guidance, listening, and joy of life. She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Raymond John Rejcek, Sr.; brothers Beon, Sylvester, Johnny, and Waldeck; sisters Bessie Marrs, Iona Hartwyk, and Frances Denney; and son-in-law, Gene Samuel Hughes. Fay is survived by daughters Barbara Talley and husband, Jerry; Olivia Greenwood and husband, Jim; Georgia Hughes; and son Raymond Rejcek, Jr. and wife, Nancy; grandchildren Ian Christman, Jessica Greenwood, Amber Rejcek and Whitney Rejcek Raymundo and husband Kevin; great-grandchildren Desiree, Kayla and Mason Christman; and numerous brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday, 10/28/12 at the Grove Hill Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, 10/29/12 at St Barnabas Episcopal Church located at 1200 N Shiloh Rd in Garland, Tx 75042. Interment will be held on Wednesday, 10/31/12 at 1pm at DFW National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Church of Our Saviour, 1616 N Jim Miller Rd., Dallas, Tx 75217, SPJST Lodge #84, 2625 Floyd Street, Dallas, Tx 75204, or a charity of your choice .
