Bio

BOWIE, Texas Bea Bowman, 80, died Wednesday, Aug. 5, 1998, at her Bowie residence. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Calvary Baptist Church of Bowie with the Rev. Ron Abbott, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Newport, Texas, Cemetery under the direction of Burgess-Fry-Owens-Brumley Funeral Home. Mrs. Bowman was born Aug. 8, 1917, in Stoneburg, Texas. She and Dick Throckmorton were married Jan. 6, 1935, in Bowie. She and Wayne Bowman were married July 20, 1952, in Bowie. He died April 20, 1985. She was a retired nurses aide for Bellmire Healthcare in Bowie and a lifetime resident of Bowie. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Bowie. Survivors include two daughters, Alta Jean Cambre and Jackie Simpson both of Bowie; five sons, Deryl, James, Loyd, and Kirt Throckmorton all of Bowie, and Weldon Throckmorton of Las Cruces, N.M.; a sister, Lucille Cox of Bowie; 31 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
