Marie L. Moslander Hajek, 90, of Beatrice died on Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, at Homestead House in Beatrice. She was born on June 30, 1922, at rural Filley and attended Sunny Hill Country School. She resided in Pickrell for many years before moving to Beatrice. She worked at Formfit for many years, the American Legion Club, and for Home Health for 15 years. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Beatrice. She was married to John Hajek on June 12, 1999, at Odell. She enjoyed her grandchildren, raising flowers, gardening, bird watching and reading books. Survivors include her husband, John of Beatrice; four sons, Bill Moslander and wife Charlotte and Steve Moslander and wife Marcia, all of Beatrice; Dan Moslander and wife LaVonna and Brad Moslander and wife Kris, all of Pickrell; five grandchildren, Melissa Oates and husband Scott, Megan Moslander and boyfriend Joe Kudera, Chrystal Wallman and husband Eric, Lucas Moslander and fiancee Tiffany Leach, and Cody Moslander; three stepgrandchildren, Gene and Jackie Sandersfeld, Robbie and Peggy Sandersfeld and Jennifer Sandersfeld and life partner Marie Migliaccio; ten great-children, Kason and Rilyn Wallman, Cheyne, Kendall, Quin and Rumer Oates, Hannah Sandersfeld, Cameron and Courtnee Knepp and Matt Johnson; three brothers, John Lenners and wife Evalena, Donald Lenners and wife Elnora and Henry Lenners and wife Angeline, all of Beatrice; two sisters, Irene Fritzen and husband LaVern of Beatrice and Elva Parde and husband Ervin of Filley; stepnieces and nephews, Dorothy and Kenneth Grell of Blue Springs, Francis and Gretchen Hajek of Lawton, Okla., Ellen Hajek of Lakewood, Colo., Raymond and Cathy Hajek of Columbus, Theresa and Jim Wissenburg of Crete, Bob Drake of Friend, Anna Mae and Gene Soucie of Seward, Betty and Hugh Sieck of Lincoln, Albert Hajek Jr. of Crete, Eugene Hajek of Crete, Paul and LuAnn Hajek of Clatonia, Adelaide and Val Hruska of Waverly, Mary Ann Wolcott of Omaha, Rita Leonard of Murray and Ruth Sudrla of Lincoln. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oltman J. and Grace Jurgens Lenners; an infant daughter; one grandson; stepnieces and nephews, Stanley Hajek, Don Sudrla, Darrel Wolcott, Tony Leonard, Evelyn Drake and Jan Hajek; two infant brothers-in-law, six brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 25, at St. John Lutheran Church of Beatrice with Pastor Glenn Schacht officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Home Cemetery of Beatrice. A family prayer service will be held at 10:15 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of the church. A memorial has been established to Beatrice Community Hospital Hospice Program with Frieda Steinkamp in charge. The body will lie in state at the Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice until 9 p.m. Wednesday with family meeting and greeting friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and at the church one hour preceding the services on Thursday.
