Mary Catherine Aaron, 84, of Port Arthur died Sunday at Schlesinger's Nursing Home in Beaumont. A native of Liberty, Miss., she lived in Port Arthur 64 years. She was a charter member of the Port Arthur Historical Society and the Port Arthur unit of the National Parliamentarians and was a registered professional parliamentarians. She was a member of the Ramallah Temple No.89, the Eastern Star No. 262, the Port Arthur League of Women Voters, and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She also served as a mother adviser to the Rainbow Girls and served as president of the Port Arthur City Council of PTA. Graveside services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Clayton-Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Survivors include two daughters, Yvonne Sutherlin of Port Arthur and Shirley Williams of Beaumont; several nieces and nephews; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
