Bio
Juanita Marie Walker, 94, of Paris, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, at Paris Regional Medical Center while surrounded by loved ones. Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, Oct. 26th, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Cannon officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service, at 9:00 a.m. Mrs. Walker was born Oct. 5, 1918, and recently celebrated her 94th birthday at Brentwood Terrace while surrounded by children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Paris where she and her husband, Herb, were very active in the outreach ministry with special emphasis on visiting nursing homes where they led in Bible studies and music services. She loved gardening, flowers, and most of all being with her family. Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert James "Herb" Walker on Feb. 5, 2010 after 76 years of marriage and also by two sons, Bradford Walker and Mickey Walker and a great-grandchild, Chloe Rogers. Survivors include three children; Patsy Harris, Jimmy Walker and Dottie McCaskill, grandchildren; Tony Walker, James Walker, Kathy (Harris) Beckett, Diane (Harris) Oatridge, Beth (Harris) Pearson, Tracey (Harris) Veien, Deborah (Walker) Schauerte, Cindy (Walker) Rogers, Wendy (Rusak) Bozarth, Robert (Bob) Rusak, Jeffrey Walker and Robyn (Walker) Sims, 30 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren along with extended family and a host of friends. Casket bearers will be: Matt Bozarth, David Bozarth, Robert (Bob) Rusak, Jonathan Pearson, Eddie Bozarth, John Veien, Seth Oatridge and Scott Pearson. Honorary bearers will be: Tony Walker, James Walker, Jeffrey Walker, Luke Beckett, Rob Oatridge and Ryan Bozarth.
