CLINTON KLARE Clinton Joseph Klare, 61, of Victoria, died Monday afternoon in a local hospital following a short illness. A native of Orange Grove, he was born May 27, 1927, to Mamie Schulte Klare and the late Oscar William Klare. A World War II navy veteran, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1329 and a member of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus. He had been manager and co-owner of Texas Lumber Co. since 1967 and was a member and past president of the Victoria Association of Home Builders. Mr. Klare was director of the Lumberman's Association and was a former resident of Alice. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Victory Church with the Rev. Gary W. Janak officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Victory Church with Deacon Bill Long officiating. Surviving in addition to his mother, are his wife, Mrs. Imogene Hickey Klare of Victoria; a daughter, Rebecca Ann Klare of Houston; three sons, Michael Wayne, Ronald Joseph and Jeffrey Lynn Klare, all of Victoria; a sister, Mrs. Vivian Williamson of Crowley; and four grandchildren.
