Funeral services for Johnnie A. Schneider, 94, of Sealy are Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. from Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sealy with Rev. Eric Pitre celebrating the funeral mass and rite of committal. Interment in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Pallbearers are Robert Lancon, Larry Schneider, Chris Corder, Matthew Schneider, Len Jones, Eddie Ibarra and Brently Roache. Visitation, 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Monday, July 19, 2010, Parish Rosary at 7:00 pm, Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel, 768 Fourth St, Sealy, Texas 77474 Johnnie August Schneider was born in Wallis, Texas to parents, Paul and Anna Tomes Schneider. He was raised in the Sealy area and attended public school in the Rexville community. Johnnie married the former Miss Adelle Kovasovic at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in 1946 and worked as a Butcher for many years as well as enjoyed raising cattle. Mr. Schneider served our country in the U.S. Army during WW II and received a Purple Heart. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sealy. Survivors include his daughter, Cindy Corder and husband Rick of Sealy; sons, Johnny Wayne Schneider and wife, Connie, of Houston, Billy Schneider and wife, Pam, of Sealy, and Joey Schneider and wife, Robin, of Sealy; brother, Walter Schneider of Brookshire; grandchildren, Tracey Simons, Shelley Schneider, Matthew Schneider and wife, Angel, Chris and Cacey Corder, and Brooke Schneider; great-grandchildren, Tyler Simonds, Brently, Gus and Ben Schneider. He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Anna Schneider; wife, Adelle Schneider; daughter, Charlene Schneider; sisters, Clara Strauss, Annie Hinze, and Hattie Schaefer; brothers, Charlie and Henry Schneider.
