Bio
A service was held for George W. Perkins, who died May 11 at age 77. Mr. Perkins was born Dec. 18, 1920, in Taylor, Neb. He served in the U.S. Army in the Pacific during World War II. He owned Sure Cut Barber Shop in Portland from the late 1970s until 1995, when he retired. His wife, Barbara, died in 1992. Survivors include his son, Kyle of Nampa, Idaho; brothers, Harold of Salem and Joshua of Portland; sisters, Edith Heaps of Portland, Shirley Self of Plano, Texas, and Carole Rockford of Spokane; and three grandchildren.
