Bio

STEPHENS -- GERTRUDE B. 1922-2012 Age 90, a retiree of Sandia National Labs, passed away peacefully on Sunday July 8, 2012 surrounded by family and friends. Gertrude was kind, caring and generous to everyone who knew her, she was lovingly known to many as GG. She enjoyed shopping and collecting turquoise jewelry. She also enjoyed reading mysteries' and eating at Milly's Restaurant after having her hair done on Fridays. Her husband, Lewis A Stephens, preceded Gertrude in death. She is survived by her adoptive family, Dolores, Rob Jordan and children, Melissa, Mike, and Frankie of Albuquerque; nephew, Dave Stephens and wife, Kim of Albuquerque; nieces, Nancy Thoen and partner, Maggie Morris of Idaho; and Carol Jean Sager of California; and many great nieces and nephews. Graveside services held Friday, July 20, 2012, 10:00 a.m., at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE Gertrude was a Summer 1939 graduate of Eagle Rock High School, Los Angeles, California.
