SHARES A HEADSTONE WITH PAUL TEX TAYLOR (#59968267), HER FIRST HUSBAND.
LONGVIEW — Noreta J. Hudson Taylor Dingler, 86, of Longview, Texas, passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2012, at her residence. Ms. Dingler was born on December 15, 1925, to Ralph R. and Eve Mae Stewart Hudson. Noreta was a very active person for many years, especially in her church. She had been active in her church for 60 years or so until recently when her health failed. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school, and had taught the fifth and sixth grade girls class for much of those 60 years. She really found it a blessing to have been able to be a part of their lives during those early years and had been instrumental in leading many of them to the Lord. She lived the later part of her childhood years in Oklahoma, where she met and married Paul Tex Taylor. He preceded her in death on July 15, 1966. She was then lucky enough to meet Mr. Bruce Clayton Dingler, whom she married on May 2, 1969, in Jefferson, Texas. He preceded her in death in April of 1994. She loved to watch the Wheel of Fortune and Dancing With the Stars. She was a bargain hunter. She was an avid hunter of a good deal and was willing to do what it took in order to get one. She is survived by her daughter, Paula Bernice Hightower and her husband, David, of Longview, Texas; sons, Phil Taylor and wife, Marsha, of San Antonio, Texas, and Charles L. Taylor of Longview; step-son, Phil Dingler and his wife, Susie, of West Virginia; grandchildren, Eric P. Hightower of Henderson, Texas, Elliot and Robin Hightower of Longview, Texas, Leah Schoenfeld and husband, John, of Fort Worth, Texas, Stacey Park and husband, Jacob, of San Antonio, Texas, and Jennifer Alsobrooks and husband, Clint, of Cleveland, Texas; sister, Ruth Mathias and her husband, Monroe, of Denver, Colorado; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; and one brother, Hiesel Hudson. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at Greggton First Baptist Church with the Rev. Ron Moore officiating. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., today, October 2, 2012, at Lakeview Funeral Home. Flowers are permitted or memorials may be made to the Greggton First Baptist Church. Condolences may be offered at www.lakeviewfh.com. [Published in Longview News-Journal on October 2, 2012.]
