Herald Coaster, January 14, 1992: Funeral services for Joe Krchnak, 81, of Sealy, were held Dec. 30 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sealy. Msgr. G.J. Zientek officiated, with burial at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery. Mr. Krchnak died Dec. 25 in an area hospital. He was the former owner of Sealy Ford Tractor and Implement Co. Also, he and his brother, Louis, established the Lamar Tractor Co. on March 15, 1950. Joseph Peter Krchnak was born May 13, 1910 in Fayetteville to Frank and Frances Doubrava Krchnak. The family moved to Sealy when he was 10. He was a member and past president of the KJT Society of Sealy, the Sealy Knights of Columbus, a third and fourth degree member, the Sealy Chamber of Commerce, and the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Louise; sisters, Albina Vitek and Emily Dirba; brothers, John, Frank, Louis, Cyril, and Adolph; and a grandchild, Kindal. Survivors include his daughters and their husbands, Irene and Henry Reznicek of Sealy, and Bess and Wayne Schroeder of Katy; sons and their wives, Edward and Joyce Krchnak of Sealy, Joe L. and Sylvia Krchnak of Fort Pierce, Fla., George Krchnak of Sealy, and Gene Krchnak of La Grange; sisters, Mary Vitek of Fayetteville and Agnes Vicenik of Dallas; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
