Marvin Wenton "Winton" Larson (July 14, 1922 - August 3, 1934) Wyoming Newspaper Project August 9, 1934 Marvin Wenton Larson Dies at Lusk Hospital Friday; Burial Sunday The following articles, printed in the Lusk Free Lance, are courtesy of the Wyoming Newspaper Project. Marvin Wenton Larson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Larson of Hat Creek, passed away at the Lusk hospital at midnight Friday, August 3rd, following an emergency operation for appendicitis three days previously. Mesentenic thrombosis was given as the direct cause of his death. Marvin was 12 years and 20 days of age at the time of his passing. Deceased is survived by his parents, and two sisters, Marjory and Betty Ray, all of whom live in the Hat Creek vicinity. A number of other relatives also survive. Funeral services were held from the Congregational church Sunday afternoon, August 5th, at 2:00 o'clock, Rev. Stuart Anderson, pastor, officiating. The mixed quartet, composed of Mrs. H. J. Templeton, Mr. Ab DecAstro, R. A. Faulk and J. M. Hungate, sang "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and "I'll Be a Sunbeam." Funeral arrangements were under the direction of George Earl Peet of the Peet mortuary. Burial took place in the Lusk cemetery. OBITUARY MARVIN WENTON LARSON Marvin Wenton Larson was born in Lusk, Wyoming, on July 14, 1922, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Larson of Hat Creek, Wyoming. He passed away at the Lusk hospital at midnight on August 3, 1934, following an operation for appendicitis on July 31, 1934, at the age of 12 years and 20 days. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Larson, and two sisters, Margery and Betty Ray, besides a number of other relatives. Funeral services were held from the Congregational church Sunday afternoon, August 5th at 2:30 o'clock with Stuart Anderson, pastor, officiating.
