Mary Joyce Thompson (1925 - 2012) Obituary Petal Mary Joyce Thompson, 87, of Petal, died October 14, 2012 at her home. Services will be at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Moore Funeral Chapel in Petal followed by burial in Forrest Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Thompson worked in food services with Petal School District. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Maude Bradley; a great-granddaughter, Destiny Denmon; and a brother-in-law, Owen Walters. She is survived by her husband, Luther Thompson of Petal; daughters, and sons-in-law, Linda & John Rayner, Deborah & Ricky Neel, Wanda & Howard Hennis, Sondra & Jimmy Temple; brothers and sisters, Sam & Corrine Bradley, Lem & Betty Bradley, John & Ruth Bradley, Edith & Calvin Johns and Helen Walters; 15 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and friends too numerous to count. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:30 - 9 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home in Petal.
