Birth year calculated from age at death. Son of Frank and Mary (Fonta) Kulhanek. Married Anna Sloup on July 5, 1891 in Butler County, Nebr. by Rev. Joseph Koutek. According to his probate file he died August 3, 1908 (contradicting the date on his gravestone) and was survived by his widow Anna (age 46 years) and three children: Simon (26 years), Mary (16 years), and Emma (11 years). `````````````````````````` Peoples Banner (David City, Nebr.), August 6, 1908, p. 3, col. 5 Brainard Frank Kulhanek died at his home east of town Tuesday morning of cancer of the stomach. Burial services will be held Thursday morning.
