Mary E. Sedlacek Dies at Age 84 Mary E. Sedlacek, 84, a lifelong resident of Valley County died Oct. 18, 1973 at the Rose Lane Home in Loup City. Funeral services were held at 10 am Monday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Ord with burial in the Ord Catholic Cemetery. Born Oct. 10, 1889 in Valley County, Mrs. Sedlacek was the daughter of Albert and Antonia Suchanek Parkos. She was united in marriage to James J. Sedlacek, Nov. 7, 1908 at Geranium Catholic Church. They were farmers in Valley County until 1950. Mrs. Sedlacek was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and of the Altar Society. Survivors are four sons Emil of Ord, Vencil of Sunnyside, WA, William of Arcadia and Emanuel of Ord; a daughter, Mrs. Lydia Oseka, Loup City; 16 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; two brothers Albert Parkos and Frank Parkos both of Ord.
