Bermel Rites Held Tuesday Funeral services for Dale Bermel of Grant were held Tuesday at Palmquist Funeral Home He died the preceding Saturday at Grant at the age of 59 years after a long illness Pastor John A Pierson officiated at the services. Ruth Wallerstedt was organist and Bob Danielson and Pastor Pierson were soloists. Pallbearers were Alan Neiburg, Bob Martin, Dennis Carlson, Dick Silver, Art Carlson and Gary Stromquist. Interment was in the Oakland Cemetery Palmquist Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Dale L. Bermel was born November 14. 1926 at Pierce to Louis and Lillian Bermel. He attended Oakland High School and lived in Oakland until 1950 when he moved to Ogallala There he worked in a drive-in cafe and roller rink. Dale was a member of the Elks Lodge for 30 years and a past member of the Moose Lodge. Surviving are three sons, Dana of Straton, and David and Douglas of Oklahoma; three granddaughters, mother, Lillian of Ogallala; one sister, Betty Valdez of Citrus Heights, Calif,and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
