Bio

Henry Potrzeba, Dies At Hospital; Rites Wednesday Henry M. Potrzeba, 56, who farmed west of Ord, died unexpectedly at Valley county Hospital Sunday, Nov. 13. He was born Oct. 2, 1910 in Valley County, the son of Michael and Anna Bauer Potrzeba. He lived all of his life in Valley County with the exception of three and one-half years serving in the armed forces during World War II. He was married to Emma Fajmon May 27, 1961 at Ord. Survivors include his wife three brothers, John of Elyria, Edward of Central City and Anton of Grand Island, three sisters Mrs. Mary Iwanski, Ord, Mrs. Victoria Secora , Omaha and Mrs. Helen Augustyn, Portland, Ore. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services were held at 10 am Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church at Elyria with Rev. Albert Godlewski officiating. Interment was at the Ord Catholic cemetery with military rites conducted by the Ord VFW Post No. 7029 and American Legion Post No. 38. The Ord Quiz - Nov 17 1966, Pg 3, Col 3
