Frank J. Fafeita Dies at Age 81 Frank J. Fafeita died unexpectedly March 2, 1975 at his home in Ord. He was 81 years old. Mr. Fafeita was born Sept. 13, 1893 at St. Paul, the son of Frank and Emma Novak Fafeita. He attended Elba Public Schools and Kearney State Normal School. Frank entered business with his father in a general merchandise store in Ord. On April 1, 1918 at Ord he enlisted in the Army World War I and was honorable discharged June 2, 1919 at Camp Funston, KS, after which he again went into business with his father in the general merchandise store. Frank was united in marriage to Lydia Gruber on Oct. 7, 1934 at Ord. He owned and operated a liquor store in Ord for many years. During World War II he was employed at the Airbase in the Quarter Master Division at Grand Island. He was a member of the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Ord and a 55 year member of the American Legion. Surviving him are his wife, Lydia; one son, Jim of Los Angeles, CA; two granddaughters and one brother, Emil of Ord. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 5, at 10 am at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Interment was in Ord Catholic Cemetery.
